Hi Everyone.... sorry you have not heard from me for a year. I have been busy making work for my upcoming solo show at Skotia and there wasn't much exciting news to let you know about last year. This year there is....


 

I have been invited to take part in a group show at Evoke Gallery titled 'Re-Presenting the Nude' which has been curated by John O'Hern, former director of the Arnot Art Museum.You are all invited to attend the opening reception which is on friday evening, 2nd July, 5 – 8 pm - RSVP and further information about the show is on the gallery website - www.evokecontemporary.com

I will be in two shows at Skotia this year.The first is an invitational realism show that opens on 1st July 2010 and amongst the artists shown will be new works from Lyndall Bass, Graydon Parrish, Daniel Sprick, Francesca Sundsten and Tony Curanaj. The opening party is from 6-8pm.

I will also be having a solo show, tentatively entitled 'Progression'. The show opens on 2nd October 2010 and will feature some of my working studies as well the finished pieces to give more of a sense of my process in making work. I will also be exhibiting my ongoing painting 'Those the River Keeps' which I have finally committed to finishing after 4 yrs of making studies and rumination.
It is 12 ft long and features 8 life size figures.

American Art Collector magazine

A bit late now but if you happen to see a copy somewhere, I was featured in the April 2010 issue #54 in a piece by John O'Hern entitled 'Transcending the West'. I have put the copy text on my website on the 'Latest News' page.   

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Due to the pressure of making work for my fall show, I have cancelled all teaching this year. I will be back at Gage Academy and teaching the Anatomy course at Tony Ryder's studio again sometime next year.
I will keep you posted as soon as I have some firm dates booked.
